Honda CRF 450 Rally presents for the next Dakar

Honda has released official photos of the new CRF 450 RALLY designed specifically for racing Rally model. The TEAM HRC, the official Honda team, with the CRF450 RALLY participate in the next Dakar Rally 2014 Argentina, Bolivia-Chile from January 2014.

The TEAM HRC returned to the Dakar Rally in January 2013 for the first time after 24 years and did so with a prototype of the CRF450 RALLY based on the model CRF450X commercial competition, the Honda enduro model. The Dakar 2013 Rally generated valuable information in key areas such as engine power, aerodynamic performance, durability and maintenance requirements, used as a basis for further design modifications and improvements. The resulting new model retains the program CRF450 RALLY fuel injection PGM-FI electronic fuel injection system fuel that has shown proven performance in harsh and highly variable environmental conditions of the Dakar Rally. The new CRF450 RALLY will be used by the TEAM HRC and will be released to other teams as production motorcycle rally during 2014.

The TEAM HRC participates in the Morocco Rally 2013 which starts on 13 October with the CRF450 RALLY, using the same combination of five drivers and five motorcycles for the Dakar Rally 2014. It is expected that current tests can race conditions provide useful information for further improvements.
